According to the latest reports, Honda is preparing to unveil during the next year a brand-new 2017 Honda City. This mid-size sedan will replace the current model, unveiled in 2013, but even though it is a new model, in terms of looks and performance it is going to be very similar to its predecessor, however, the Japanese manufacturer plans to update it, so it can face its competitors better in such demanding market. The potential customers of the new 2017 Honda City are going to be people who are looking to buy a new car, but they don’t want to spend too much money.
Exterior of 2017 City
The design of the exterior is not going to be an-all new design that has never been seen before. First of all, the Japanese manufacturer plans to use very similar design that still looks modern and fresh, while the next City might get completely new design. There are no official images at the moment, but the reports have surfaced online and they claim that the new 2017 Honda City will have a redesigned front grille with smaller chrome bar, but with slightly bigger headlights that are going to have LED daytime running lights. The front bumper should also get smaller, but it is going to have chrome details. The back of the car will also get small redesign – the taillights are going to be new (new LED elements and different design), the rear bumper will be smaller and will receive some chrome detailing and the exhaust pipe will be more visible. When it comes to the details on the exterior like chrome accents – the base version will have practically no extra details, while the top-of-the-range model of the 2017 Honda City will have a metallic color, alloy wheels and lots of chrome details on the outside.

The dashboard is still mostly black with metallic accents, while the seats and the door panels are in light yellow color. Of course, this interior will probably be available only in the top-of-the-line 2017 Honda City. Apart from that, there are no significant changes on the interior – except for the updated infotainment software.

The Japanese manufacturer plans to introduce a small diesel engine with the new 2017 Honda City, however it is not known how big this engine is going to be nor how much horsepower is it going to produce.
