Honda must be working pretty hard recently since it intends to launch several upgraded models in 2016 as the 2017 models. Among the models that are about to be revised is the Brio, popular hatchback that will likely appear in showrooms in late 2016. The vehicle debuted in 2011 and since then, it hasn’t been changed at all, except for some hardly noticeable, minor tweaks. Keeping in mind that the vehicle hasn’t been revamped for years, the vehicle will likely hit the market in a completely new light. The Honda Brio enjoys great popularity especially in India, where people appreciate affordable models with good looks, modern features, and decently equipped cabins, and the Brio is one such model. Read the speculative review below and find out how the 2017 Honda Brio might look like and what else is new for the 2017 model year.
Exterior of 2017 Honda Brio
With its trademark headlights and taillights, trapezoidal grille, and side curves that all together frame the vehicle, the Brio looks absolutely gorgeous. The carmaker hasn’t announced what kind of new design cues will be added, but we believe that the vehicle’s shape won’t be changed. Only some minor changes on the vehicle’s front fascia are expected. It will keep its recognizable short hood and body-colored bumpers. It will ride on refreshed alloy wheels. The 2017 Brio is 3610 mm long, 1680 mm wide and 1500 mm tall. You will be surprised when you hear how comfortable, pretty spacious, and well-equipped its cabin is.
2017 Honda Brio Interior
The 2017 Honda Brio might be an affordable model, but still, its cabin is decently, if not excellently equipped. Major part of the cabin is covered in high-end materials which improve comfort and feel. Leather seats are not in the books, but they will still be comfortable and supportive. The cabin can take up to five passengers at the time. It might not be as spacious as some luxury sedans or SUVs, but driving in this small hatchback won’t be uncomfortable and awkward for sure. Some of the comfort and convenience features you will find inside of the cabin include steering-mounted controls, air conditioner, power windows, rear defogger, touch-screen audio system, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, and many others. It is pretty awesome for a price tag just under $10,000.
Honda Brio 2017 Engine
The potential buyers of the 2017 Honda Brio can opt for two engines. Both of them are environmental-friendly and offer decent power. The base engine is 1.2 liter petrol I4. As for the horsepower and torque ratings, the engine churns 88 Bhp at 6000 rpm and 109 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. The more powerful engine option is a 1.5 liter i-DTEC unit. It is 100-horsepower engine with torque ratings of 200 Nm.
Release date and price of 2017 Brio Honda
At one point, we mentioned that the base-equipped Brio starts at $10.000. Better equipped models will have a bit higher starting price. The 2017 Honda Brio will go on sale by the end of 2016. Deeper details about the vehicle will be announced soon since the carmaker hasn’t dived into details of the vehicle yet.
