Auto Expo 2016 was pretty interesting for all car enthusiasts and lovers, especially those who appreciate and love Honda’s products. This carmaker presented several refreshed models including the thrilling BR-V. The launch of this excellent and exciting SUV and some other models will help the carmaker to grow and strengthen its brand. The carmaker plans to increase sales and blow away competition with ease. The 2016 Honda BR V represents the CR-V’s little brother and it is an exclusive model for the Asian market. Let’s take a closer inspection to the BR-V and give it some good critiquing.
2016 Honda BR V Exterior
The 2016 Honda BR V will win your heart at the very first sight with its sporty and aggressive appearance. The front part of the car hosts a narrow, radiator grille. It is flanked by sharp headlights and Honda’s emblem just above it. Down lower is air dam which provides just enough of the airflow to the radiator. The corners of the front end are graced by round fog lights with chrome surroundings. Actually, the carmaker used quite a lot of chrome to enhance visual appearance of the car. The front end, with all those curves and lines looks absolutely stunning. Perfect and what’s with the rear end? Unfortunately, we were not able to see the rear end of the car except that its tailgate bubbled out from the body, while the rest is still a mystery. However, we carefully inspected the vehicle’s side profile and noticed that its body gets progressively higher toward the rear end.
Interior of 2016 Honda BR V
Honda is pretty stingy when it comes to deeper details about the BR-V’s interior. However, we did a small research and managed to get a pretty blurry image of the interior. Since it belongs to subcompact pavilion, it will probably offer seating for seven people. It will be equipped with 6 to 7-inch display for the entertainment system. It will boast smaller instrument cluster than the CR-V. The center console will also be pretty small in size, or at least smaller than that of the CR-V’s. You will be able to select from the base cloth seating to leather-wrapped seats. With the second row of seats being folded down, you will have decent amount of cargo room for carrying your luggage.
2016 BR V Honda Engine
Powering the upcoming 2016 Honda BR V will be two engine options. If you opt for the 1.5-liter, SOHC, four-cylinder-powered BR-V, expect ratings of 117 horses and 107 pound-feet of torque. A 1.5-liter, diesel power unit is the second engine option. It generates 99 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. To our great surprise, Honda offers two transmission options. Power will be routed through either 5-speed manual transmission or CVT. Fuel economy and top speed of both engines will be announced soon.
Release date and price of BR V Honda 2016
The 2016 Honda BR V will go on sale sometime in 2016, probably at the very beginning of the year. Estimated starting price is said to be around $20,000, but don’t take this information for granted since we haven’t heard that the carmaker has confirmed anything yet.
